JTDS Now Uses LaTeX for Article Production (Effective 20 June 2026)

Dear Authors, Reviewers, and Readers of JTDS,

We are pleased to announce that, effective 20 June 2026, the Journal of Technology and Data Science (JTDS) officially adopts LaTeX as the typesetting and production system for all published articles.

Why LaTeX?

  • More consistent and professional typography and layout across every issue.
  • Cleaner, standardized presentation of equations, tables, figures, and citations.
  • Consistent, easily traceable reference numbering (IEEE style).
  • Well-structured final PDF files that are friendly to indexing services.

What Does Not Change

We emphasize that this transition concerns formatting and layout only. It does not change the substance, content, data, results, or meaning of an author’s manuscript. All text, arguments, findings, and references remain exactly as approved during the review stage. No scholarly modification whatsoever is made during the conversion to LaTeX; the process is purely a re-presentation of the work.

English-Language Articles (Effective Vol. 4 No. 2)

Starting from Vol. 4 No. 2, JTDS will publish all articles in English. Translation of accepted manuscripts will be carried out by the JTDS production team. Authors are also welcome to translate their manuscripts independently — in this case, please prepare and submit the work in English.

What Authors Need to Do

Authors may continue to submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word using the available Manuscript Template. The JTDS editorial team will handle the conversion to LaTeX during production, so authors are not required to know LaTeX. For authors who prefer to prepare their manuscript directly in LaTeX, a LaTeX Template is also available for download on the journal homepage, right next to the Manuscript Template link.
